jhnmyr:

I wanted to share with you a memory of my friend Steve Jobs, a memory that in the days since his passing has come to represent how great of a guy he was, and how good he was to me.

I first met Steve in 2003, over the phone, when I cold-called him to tell him I was a devout fan of all things Apple…

The Future.

I thought I would take a few minutes and fill everyone in on whats going on in my life right now, and what is fast approaching.

A little background-

I have been in church since birth. I have been at Trinity Church for as long as I can remember. I was called to lead worship, I grew in my walk and understanding of my relationship with Christ, and essentially grew up at Trinity. I have been leading worship for the youth ministry at Trinity for about 3-4 years, as well as leading worship along side my parents for the main weekend services for the past 2-3 years. About two and a half years ago I met some people at Puyallup Foursquare who played in their worship team. After hanging out with them for a little while they asked me to come in and jam with them a little. After doing so they asked me to start playing with them. I told them I was committed to my Home church (Trinity) and would need my pastors blessing. After receiving their blessing I began playing with the band at their UG services (youth services). Over the past two and a half years I have had a very unique grace on my life to serve two church bodies, Always knowing a time would come when I would need to make a choice as to where I would plant myself. So in the Fall of 2010 I began to feel God stirring something in me. As I asked God to speak to me about what that was, I felt that change was coming. I felt that it would be essential to take a break from my regular ministry responsibilities and seek God and His will for my life. So starting in January 2011 I began my planned 3 month break. Mid way into February I felt the Lord had given me my answer as to what I was to do come April. So i promptly met with Pastors Rollie and Dan the Lead and youth pastors at Trinity, Respectively. After meeting with them and sharing with them what I felt God was speaking, they both gave me their blessing to pursue it, while making sure I knew the door was always open at Trinity. I then met with Chad Veach the Youth Pastor at Puyallup Foursquare to share my heart with him. After hearing my heart and that Pastor Rollie and Pastor Dan were on board he told me he also was on board. That said, I will be making Puyallup Foursquare my home church starting in April.

So March 27th will be my last Sunday at Trinity as a partner (member). Though I suspect I will still be around from time to time as I have many friends and family that attend there.

I will be leading worship at 3YC (trinitys youth ministry) for the month of april as a farewell of sorts. April 27th will be my last wednesday at Trinity as a leader.

I am SO excited for what is to come in the future. God is moving.

I love you all.

My Best Mate

A quick note about my Best mate Nathan-

What an incredible man of God. I am so blessed that we took this trip together. There is literally no one else I would rather have taken this trip with.

As we sit in the airport. I realize how blessed we both are to be where we are. Its amazing what we have just done. Thank You Jesus! Life is good!
